Atop Mt. Herman: Palmer Lake, CO |
I have been wanting, lusting and searching for an Expedition build vehicle for about a year now. With the much appreciated help of a good friend, I finally found one!
Year: 1985
Make: Toyota
Model: FJ-60 Land Cruiser
Stock 2F straight 6, with 186k miles on it, coupled to a H55f 5-speed. 2.5 inch OME lift with 33's. Custom rear bumper with swing out spare tire carrier and a clean interior. There is body damage along the lower 1/3 from arm wrestling some rocks, and rusting to go along with it, but nothing that a little elbow grease, angle grinder and POR-15 can't handle.
The rig ticked all the boxes for me in terms of mods. What already has been done to it cuts my budget in half from what I was planning to do from stock. Which means other things have been added to the budget!
Initial work that will be done to it will all be related to getting it through inspection and registered, along with some minor cosmetic touches. Nothing major until I can get it from my folks house in Colorado, to where I live, near Atlanta.
